1. Introduction
The general terms and conditions of sale detailed below govern the purchase of products through the website of Shelline Group: www.shellinegroup.com
Every order comes under the Italian Law n. 185/99.
The privacy of each Client comes under the Italian Law Dlgs n. 196/2003.
These general conditions of sale are the only conditions that are applicable and replace all the previous conditions. Shelline Group reserves the right to vary the following conditions at any time and without prior notice. They are valid once are published in the website www.shellinegroup.com.
2. Acceptance of the general conditions of sale and terms of payment
By confirming the order the Client accepts unreservedly and integrally our general conditions of sale and terms of payment, having read them. Every different written condition must be accepted by Shelline Group.
Once the Client has made the order he should print these general conditions, already read and accepted during the on-line purchase provided for articles 3 and 4 of Italian law n. 185/99 and kept for any eventuality.
3. How to order
Sales are made through the automatic system of the Shelline Group website: www.shellinegroup.com. Any other way to purchase has to be arranged with Shelline Group directly sending an e-mail to shellinegroup@shellinegroup.com or calling the following phone numbers: office +39.0761.699661, mobile +39.335.1216723.
Before confirming the on-line order the Client will display the list of the purchased products with prices and postage if requested (charged extra). Once the order is confirmed, he will receive an e-mail with all the details of it.
No minimum order is required.
If the amount of the order is equal or more then Euro 200,00 shipment to Europe will be free.
4. Products availability
The availability of the products is automatically updated by the system. In the unlikely event the ordered product is unavailable Shelline Group will contact the Client immediately. The Customer shall have the option to cancel the order of the unavailable product or ask to replace it with another of same value.
5. Terms of payment and prices
All prices are in Euros and V.A.T. included.
Payments can be done "on-line" or "off-line" as specified below:
Payment "on-line" is done at the end of the on-line purchase on website www.shellinegroup.com when the order is confirmed. Clients can use credit cards of Mastercard or Visa circuit and American Express or Diners credit card;
Payment "off-line" is done off-line through bank transfer, international postal money order or Western Union within 3 working days of the date of the order.
During this period all the ordered products are automatically reserved for the Client, who, in order to complete the purchase, is requested to transmit the details of the payment to Shelline Group via email to shellinegroup@shellinegroup.com or calling +39.0761.699661 or sending a sms to +39.335.1216723.
Shelline Group will do the shipment only if the sum related to the order is received.
If the Client does not communicate the details related to the payment within 3 working days from the date of the order, all the reserved products will be automatically available on the website www.shellinegroup.com.
All credit cards details are not handled by Shelline Group, but exclusively by "Banca Antonveneta ABN AMRO" (www.antonveneta.it), leader in the e-commerce field in Italy.
Shelline Group cannot be liable for any kind of credit card fraud. In effort to reduce fraud Shelline Group reserves the right to cancel suspect transactions. Besides, Shelline Group for security purposes can ask Customers to provide additional information or documentation, in absence of these Shelline Group can cancel the order.
To make the payment by credit cards Customers are required to:
a. use credit cards of Mastercard or Visa circuit and American Express or Diners credit card;
b. provide the telephone number of own house;
c. provide the complete address since the delivery is exclusively to card/account holder's address.
d. The invoice is issued to the credit card holder.
6. Shipment
All orders will be shipped promptly. Shipment is done as follows:
Italy: Shipment will be done through the express courier GLS (General Logistics Systems)-Executive. Delivery is estimated in 1/2 working days, except to Calabria, Sicily and Sardinia for which is necessary 2/3 working days. Delivery to minor islands is charged extra for euro 25,00 each shipment.
Shipment is free if the amount of the order is equal or more then euro 150,00. If the amount is less then euro 150,00 shipment will be charged at euro 16,00 (VAT 20% included) automatically added in the invoice.
Shipment is done through the "safe-plus" service, which guarantees the maximum care for each parcel. It will be put in a special cage and handled by specialized operators.
Parcels are insured for a maximum value of euro 2.500,00 without any exemption. Shelline Group declines any responsibility for shipment over euro 2.500,00, where expressly requested, it will be done at risk and danger of the Client.
Price for shipment is intended for parcels up to 3 Kg., exceeded this limit Shelline Group reserves the right to ask an extra charge for the over weight.
Europe: Shipment is done through GLS (General Logistics Systems)-Executive express courier. Delivery is estimated in 3/4 working days (Countries without Custom). Delivery to Switzerland or Liechtenstein are charged euro 45,00 for customs duty. All shipments to other destinations not belonging to European Economic Community will be charged euro 25,00.
Shipment is free if the amount of the order is equal or more then euro 250,00. If the amount is less then euro 250,00 shipment will be charged at euro 18,00 (VAT 20% included) automatically added in the invoice.
Shipment is done directly by GLS trucks.
Parcels are insured for a maximum value of euro 2.500,00 without any exemption. Shelline Group declines any responsibility for shipment over euro 2.500,00, where expressly requested, it will be done at risk and danger of the Client.
Price for shipment is intended for parcels up to 3 Kg., exceeded this limit Shelline Group reserves the right to ask an extra charge for the over weight.
Rest of the World: Shipment will be done through GLS (General Logistics Systems)-Executive express courier together with Fedex. Delivery is estimated in 6 working days.
Shipment is free if the amount of the order is equal or more then euro 600,00. If the amount is less then euro 600,00 shipment will be charged at euro 35,00 automatically added in the invoice.
Shipment is done through the international fly service which guarantees the maximum care on the transport and express deliveries.
Parcels are not insured.
Price for shipment is intended for parcels up to 1 Kg., exceeded this limit Shelline Group reserves the right to ask an extra charge for the over weight.
Shelline Group will not be liable in the eventuality of late deliveries. It should concern a direct responsibility with GLS/Fedex. In this case Customers are required to contact directly GLS/Fedex of their Country.
Once the shipment is done Clients will be given the tracking number of the shipment by e-mail. The code can be used to track at any time the shipment calling the service number of GLS/Fedex or surfing their website.
For shipment extra CEE Customers could be asked to pay extra duty at the Custom of their Country. In this case all extras are charged directly to the Customer.
Shelline Group is exempted from its obligation to deliver in the event of war, riots, fire, strikes and accidents.
Damage in transit: the Client is required to check the package upon arrival. If parcels arrive with any problem due to the delivery (damaged package, absence of one or more products listed on the delivery note or broken products, etc.) the Customer must, without fail, report on the delivery note in the form of a "written reservation" and accompanied by the Customer's signature. It is responsibility of the Client to confirm the problem by sending the carrier a recorded delivery letter with confirmation of delivery within two working days following the delivery date, detailing the aforementioned complaints. Besides he shall be required to send a copy of this letter by priority mail to Shelline Group within 48 hours of the delivery date to the address mentioned at point 11) or by email to shellinegroup@shellinegroup.com.
7. Damages
Shelline Group cannot be held liable for any kind of damage, material, immaterial or corporal, that arises as a result of the misuse of commercial products purchased in the website www.shellinegroup.com.
8. Photographs
All photographs illustrating the products belong to Shelline Group. It is forbidden to copy or to make any reproduction without the written consent of Shelline Group.
9. Right of withdrawal
In conjunction with Italian Law May 22, 1999 n. 185, the right of withdrawal allows Customers, within a period of 10 working days, to return, at own expenses, any product failing to meet with his/her satisfaction (it is not valid for damaged products).This period shall run from the date on which the Customer's order was delivered.
Shelline Group must be informed within 48 hours of delivery by e-mail at shellinegroup@shellinegroup.com and contemporary by sending a recorded delivery letter to the address specified at the following point 11).
The product must be returned by registered parcel to Shelline Group at the address specified at point 11).
Shelline Group shall accept only the products returned in their entirety, in their original packaging, complete of their labels with data, and in perfect resale condition. Any product that has been damaged or whose original packaging has been damaged shall not be eligible for refund or exchange.
The right of withdrawal may be exercised without penalty, with the exception of the costs of return. In the event of exercising this right of withdrawal, the Customer has the choice of requesting either the sum paid, or exchanging the product. In the event of an exchange, the charges for shipping the new product shall be borne by the Customer.
Where the right of withdrawal is exercised, Shelline Group shall make every effort to reimburse the Customer within 30 days, but only if the goods have been received by Shelline Group.
10. Privacy
The Client once registered at the website www.shellinegroup.com allows Shelline Group to use his/her personal details (name, address, etc.) accordingly with the Italian Law on privacy Dlgs n. 196/2003. These details are for internal use only and used to notify any offers and updates. They will not be given for any reason to third parties.
The Customer has the right to access, change, correct and remove any data held about him/herself, and can do it simply by sending an e-mail to shellinegroup@shellinegroup.com.
11. Shelline Group
Shellinegroup.com is a domain belonging to Shelline Group.
www.shellinegroup.com is a website dedicated to the Malacological field and it sells top quality specimen shells and correlated products through the e-commerce system. Shelline Group does not sell any shell belonging to the International CITES lists.
The size of the products are expressed in millimetres and are approximate.
The grade is referred to the International Shell Grading Standards as follows:
gem = perfect specimen
f++ = almost perfect specimen
f+ = with slight defect
f = with two or more defects
good = with many defects
fair = damaged specimen

12. Legislation
This contract shall come under Italian Law. In the event of dispute, Shelline Group is at Customers disposal with the aim of reaching the fairest, amicable settlement. Failing this, the Viterbo Court shall be the only court with jurisdiction to rule on such disputes.
